Founder & educator

Sodiq Abdulrahman

Founder of Sumri and a higher-education lecturer in Nigeria, writing practical guidance about how students understand, revise and work with their own study materials.

Why I built Sumri

I work close to the problems Sumri is designed to address. Teaching in higher education means seeing how students actually receive lecture notes, handouts, PDFs and other course materials—and how difficult it can be to turn those materials into a clear, repeatable study process.

Sumri was built around that study problem: helping students move from raw material to understanding, revision, definitions, quizzes and questions inside a structured Study Kit rather than beginning with a blank general-purpose chat.

What I bring to the Sumri Blog

My perspective combines direct exposure to higher-education students, a marketing background, and hands-on work building Sumri as a founder. The blog is therefore focused on practical study behaviour: how students work with lecture notes, PDFs, difficult explanations, revision time and AI-assisted study.

Where an article makes a research-based learning claim, the relevant sources are linked so readers can inspect the evidence rather than relying only on the article’s wording.

What the blog focuses on

The focus is practical: helping students understand their materials, revise deliberately, retrieve what they have learned and make productive use of study technology.
